Terry S. Park has over 20 years of experience in representing and advising business owners in matters ranging from daily business operational issues to the development and implementation of complex commercial transactions and business agreements. With an extensive background in handling business/contract, employment, real estate and landlord/tenant issues, on both the litigation and transactional side, Terry is able to provide his clients with efficient solutions to all of their legal needs.
With the complexities and constantly evolving nature of California labor laws, Terry routinely advises employers in wage and hour compliance, classification determinations, employee benefits and general employment practices, and has significant experience in representing employers in claims involving harassment, discrimination, retaliation and wrongful termination.
With many small business owners owning or operating on leased premises, Terry frequently handles landlord/tenant matters, including drafting and negotiating commercial leases and advising landlords on property management issues. Terry has substantial experience in all aspects of commercial landlord-tenant disputes, including unlawful detainer actions, evictions, unpaid rent, breach of lease claims and ADA complaints.
Terry also handles a broad range of complex business litigation matters in federal and state courts. Terry has successfully represented clients in numerous litigation matters involving breach of contract, investment fraud, trade secret misappropriation claims and corporate director and shareholder disputes. Additionally, Terry has extensive experience in negotiating, structuring and preparing agreements for a wide range of transactions, including sales, service, licensing, technology, distribution, marketing, business formation, strategic alliance and acquisition transactions.
Terry also has substantial experience serving as outside general corporate counsel for several local businesses. In his role as outside counsel, Terry advises clients on internal company issues, such as labor and employment matters and disputes, formulating corporate policies and procedures and advising management on general corporate matters.
Terry received his B.A. from the University of Southern California and J.D. from Southwestern School of Law.
